We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Midwest Ear Nose & Throat Specialists. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Complete patient intake by taking vitals, updating health histories, and documenting chief complaints.
- Document clinician exam and assist in diagnostic procedures and minor medical procedures, including breathing tests, allergy skin testing, and oral challenges.
- Perform routine office procedures in a safe and effective manner.
- Responsible for the daily maintenance of the laboratory area and equipment logs.
- Collects updated patient information and charts patient exam in the EMR within the time parameters of the patient appointment.
- Handles patient private health information within the guidelines of HIPAA and company privacy practices.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed.
- Provide patient education materials and communicate physician advice/instructions.
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Minnesota.
- Willingness and ability to work and travel between all three clinic locations.
- Valid Driver's License.
- 1+ year of experience as an LPN or CMA.
- 1+ year of experience managing patient health information within an EMR.
- 1+ year of experience working within specialty care.
