Position Overview

Inova Health System is currently seeking a Clinic Surgical Technologist to join our dedicated team.

Role and Responsibilities

The Clinic Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in providing direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This position involves collaborating with healthcare team members to execute individualized care plans aimed at achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in delivering direct patient care while under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Support basic daily living activities such as bathing, feeding, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Exhibit proficiency in all essential clinical skills and technologies as per Inova Health System's policies.
  • Complete assigned patient tasks within designated timeframes.
  • Demonstrate understanding of patient growth and development in care delivery.
  • Accurately document patient information and reinforce discharge instructions and home care practices.
  • Timely communicate any changes in patient conditions to the supervising Registered Nurse.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to develop a professional growth plan that equips staff with the skills necessary for contemporary patient care.
  • May undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Work Schedule

Shift: 12 Hour Day
Schedule: Two days a week
Training: Attendance at a 6-week training course is mandatory for the ideal candidate.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire from the American Heart Association.
  • Training: Must be available for a 6-week training orientation upon hire.
