Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Parts Super Center team. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and implementing customer solutions that enhance our existing business operations. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting initiatives aimed at ensuring timely and defect-free product fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee modifications and complex quotations and orders.
  • Collaborate with sourcing to identify and transition commodities to new suppliers as needed.
  • Manage a team of Technical Specialists responsible for producing quotations, processing orders, and handling associated bills of materials and drawings.
  • Develop and implement lean process improvements for quotations and order fulfillment.
  • Identify and lead cost-reduction opportunities within the supply chain to maintain competitive pricing.
  • Lead program efforts to achieve on-time delivery and quality management system targets.
  • Act as the primary liaison with sourcing, quality, operations, and inside sales for non-conforming materials to ensure compliance with quality management standards.
  • Engage with key accounts alongside Regional Sales Leaders and the Inside Sales Team to meet commercial objectives.
  • Prepare technical proposals and conduct training sessions.
  • Identify complementary sales opportunities across various programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM.
  • Over 10 years of direct experience in a relevant field.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience in Mechanical or Electrical Design of Medium & High Voltage Circuit Breakers & Switchgear.
  • Familiarity with Field Service & Project Quotations.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing & Contract Manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of Application & Requisition Engineering.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of IEEE Switchgear & Circuit Breaker Standards.
  • Ability to interpret Electrical One Line, Schematic & Wiring Diagrams.
  • Familiarity with the US installed switchgear base and industry segments.
  • Understanding of customer maintenance and operational practices, including repair/replace decision-making.
  • Comprehension of life extension processes for switchgear.
  • Ability to develop tailored technical and commercial solutions based on customer requirements.
