Job Responsibilities:

As part of our commitment to supporting individuals with mental health challenges, this role encompasses a comprehensive range of medical and support services for diverse populations across South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Responding to incoming crisis communications and delivering telephonic crisis intervention services under the guidance of the team leader, serving as a vital backup for the 988 Lifeline.
  • Providing culturally sensitive and effective responses to callers utilizing the 988 Lifeline.
  • Assessing concerns related to mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use, and directing individuals to appropriate resources.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with established standards.
  • Promoting collaboration and teamwork within the center and the broader community.
Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in guidance, counseling, or social sciences, along with professional experience in human or social services programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with mental health legal principles, clinical counseling methods, and patient management in psychiatric settings. Strong ability to plan, coordinate, and manage complex treatment processes, as well as conduct detailed assessments and recommend necessary actions.
