Job Summary

The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for assembling, installing, aligning, adjusting, and fitting subassemblies and parts or auxiliary equipment using appropriate tools and equipment. This role will work under some supervision and limited contact with external suppliers or customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and/or perform preset calibration/final testing of products.
  • Clean parts and maintain tooling and equipment per proper work instructions.
  • Assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies and parts or auxiliary equipment using appropriate tools and equipment as per work instructions.
  • Follow work instructions associated with assembly skills to become certified for work being performed.
  • Perform test stand preset calibration and final test of product.
  • Notice inconsistencies/faults in parts, equipment, or production processes to prevent faulty products leaving the facility.

Requirements

Level 1:

  • US - High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • No related work experience required. Mechanical aptitude required.
  • The ability to see details (e.g., letters, numbers, codes, color, symbols, marks, labels, signs) clearly to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner and possessing strong hand-eye coordination.
  • The ability to perform simple arithmetic computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division correctly using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • The ability to process multiple types of information and/or perform multiple tasks simultaneously and the ability to follow work orders efficiently.
  • Moderate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects.

Level 2:

  • US - High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years related work experience and applicable certifications required.
  • The ability to see details (e.g., letters, numbers, codes, color, symbols, marks, labels, signs) clearly to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner and possessing strong hand-eye coordination.
  • The ability to perform simple arithmetic computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division correctly using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Work Environment

This role will work in a manufacturing setting with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear.

Shift Information

Second shift for this role is Monday-Thursday - 3pm-1:30am or 3:30-2a.
