BECU is seeking a highly skilled Member Consultant II to join our team. As a key member of our financial services team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional member experiences and providing expert financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exceptional Member Experience: Utilize your product knowledge to provide outstanding customer service and sales, including areas of business services, consumer lending, deposit servicing, IRA, POA, and Fiduciary accounts.
  • Financial Literacy-based Sales: Develop and deepen member relationships using our Member Advantage and other financial programs, and create new member relationships within the community.
  • Enhanced Loan Services: Interview and process business loan applications, and conduct thorough consumer loan interviews, complete applications, and necessary documentation.
  • Branch Operations: Maintain thorough knowledge of all forms and documentation necessary for each consumer and business loan type.
  • Compliance: Comply with SAFE Act Registration, which requires annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of experience in a sales-oriented, financial, or retail environment.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency and comfort level with learning new systems and programs, with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Credit Union key objectives, product and service solutions, and state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products and services offered.
  • Communication: Proficient verbal and written communication skills to enable daily communication with members.
  • Math and Analytical Skills: Proficient math aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Problem Resolution and Negotiation: Problem resolution, negotiating, organization, multi-tasking, and peer coaching skills.
  • Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts between the hours of 8:00am and 6:30pm during the week, and 8:00am and 1:30pm on Saturdays.
