About the Role

This is a key leadership position within the Student Center and Event Operations team, responsible for overseeing the management and guidance of the Student Center's operations, including staffing, event management, and summer conference coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic management and guidance for Student Center and Event Operations
  • Supervise staff and student personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate programs by coordinating with on and off-campus partners and clients at all levels, ensuring alignment with the university's mission and goals
  • Organize and execute events, conferences, and programs that promote student engagement, retention, and success
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of experience in overseeing complex operations involving staffing and multiple functions, with a proven track record of success
  • One to two years of progressively responsible and applicable management and/or supervisory experience, with a focus on leadership development and team management
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a strong foundation in business administration, management, or a related field
  • Higher education experience is highly preferred, with a demonstrated understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this sector
  • Experience supervising students and working in a Student Center or Student Union is highly preferred, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Intermediate proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and Google Suite, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Knowledge of 25Live, Humanity, and PeopleSoft is preferred, with a willingness to learn and implement new systems and processes
