About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Electrical and Firmware Engineering to join our team at Evolv Technologies Holdings, Inc. As a key member of our R&D organization, you will be responsible for leading a world-class team of electrical and firmware engineers in the design and development of cutting-edge safety technology products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of electrical and firmware engineers in the design and development of advanced analog and digital designs, PCB development, and system integration.
  • Oversee the transition of new products from Proof of Concept (POC) to initial customer validation phases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Represent the EE team in cross-functional management discussions and collaborate with the Head of Engineering to establish metrics for continuous assessment and improvement of team performance.
Requirements
  • Deep expertise in system architecture, electronics, and firmware design.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to represent the team's work in various forums.
