Job Title: Flight Respiratory Therapist

AirMed International is seeking a highly skilled Flight Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Flight RT, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care in accordance with Global Medical Response protocols and/or medical direction.

Responsibilities:
  • Use a systematic approach to guide patient assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes.
  • Maintain clinical competence and continuing education for age-specific populations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare members to assess, provide, and evaluate patient care.
  • Attend and participate in base meetings and educational offerings.
  • Execute tasks in an efficient manner and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comply with safety standards to ensure safety of self, medical and flight personnel, patient, and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and licensed as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) with the primary state of practice.
  • Minimum of three years of recent experience in adult/neonatal/pediatric critical and/or acute care setting.
  • Current American Heart Association certifications - BLS, ACLS, PALS.
  • Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Provider - or should be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) preferred - or should be obtained within 1 year of hire date.
  • Advanced Certification (ACCS or NPS) preferred - or should be obtained within 2 years of hire date.
  • Current passport.
  • Current driver's license.
