Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to support an Agile software development team in building, maintaining, and supporting enterprise, cloud, web applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Technical Liaison between the Customers and the Development Team.
  • Support for System Requirements, including meetings with business stakeholders, Business Process Analysis, and requirement translation.
  • Creation of requirements in Confluence and user stories in Jira.
  • Decomposition of a process or large requirement in to smaller, logical chunks.
  • Engineering support for the development team, including requirements clarification, system architecture documentation, and work flow diagrams.
  • Support in responding to System Incidents and Alerts from monitoring tools.
  • Testing support, including requirements verification and user acceptance testing.
  • Support for escalated help tickets (tier 2), including triage, coordination, and resolutions.
  • Backup Scrum Master.
  • Support system certification requirements (e.g. Auditable Financial System certification, Security's ICD 503 certification), including documentation and annual contingency/disaster recovery actions.
  • Performance monitoring of Production applications using integrated monitoring tools.
  • Preparation and materials for presentations (e.g. PowerPoint).
  • Configuration Management / Version Control of documentation (e.g. SharePoint).
  • Written input for PMO Briefings (accomplishments, plans, issues, risks).
  • Conduct project briefings & technical demonstrations.
  • Management and coordination for new IT initiatives.
Requirements:
  • 6 years of experience in system engineering experience in support of web application development.
  • Requirement definition and tracking.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Firefox, Chrome, and/or Edge on a Windows platform.
  • Experience with MS Office software products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience supporting an Agile/Scrum software development team.
  • Scrum Master experience.
  • Experience with Visio or software used for system workflow, interface, and architecture diagrams.
  • Experience with system monitoring tools.
  • Software testing experience.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services.
