Position Overview

This role requires a nurse with a proven track record in Stepdown or Progressive Care Units. Candidates must demonstrate a 1:5 patient ratio experience in their application to be considered. It is essential to have EPIC experience and to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment prior to commencing the assignment.

Essential Qualifications
  • Certifications: BLS, NIH required; ACLS preferred
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret EKG strips, IV start proficiency
  • Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in a relevant setting, with some level 1 or 2 experience preferred

Floating and Additional Requirements: Travelers may be required to float to other units as necessary. Availability for every other weekend and holiday is expected. Please note that there may be cancellations due to low census.

Unit Information

The Advanced Care Unit typically handles patients with conditions such as heart failure, chest pain, and COPD exacerbations. Nurses must be adept at managing IV drips including heparin and nitroglycerin.
