Manufacturing Paint Prepper

Scott Manufacturing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Paint Prepper to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces for prime and paint, cleaning and maintaining spray booths and paint equipment, and assisting other departments as needed.

• Apply coatings with electric static airless spray guns.
• Maintain painting equipment, including making minor repairs and ensuring proper supplies are on hand to complete assigned tasks.
• Work effectively as a member of a team, while continuously striving to improve and develop individual skills and knowledge.
• Apply epoxy and polyurethane coatings in a manufacturing environment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Meet or exceed deadlines and schedules.
• Comply with all safety rules and guidelines.

• Knowledge of surface preparation, including sanding surfaces, applying filler, and removing imperfections, priming surfaces, and masking areas from paint.
• Operate various pieces of equipment, such as forklifts, spray guns, and other specialty equipment.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• One to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Combination of education and experience.
