Senior Criminal Defense Attorney Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Criminal Defense Attorney to join our team at The Matian Firm, APC. As a Senior Criminal Defense Attorney, you will play a crucial role in managing complex criminal cases and providing exceptional legal representation to our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of complex criminal cases, including federal, state, and local cases.
  • Client Representation: Provide exceptional legal representation to clients, including advising on legal rights, drafting legal documents, and attending pretrial hearings.
  • Court Appearances: Manage court appearances, including trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and performing legal research.
  • Case Analysis: Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents and provide legal analysis to clients.
  • Workload Management: Manage workload of cases, including prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities to team members.
  • Client Communication: Provide regular updates to clients on the status of their cases and communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are met.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: At least 4-5 years of experience in criminal defense law.
  • Complex Case Experience: Experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local level.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, including collaborating with colleagues and communicating with clients.
  • Bilingual: Bilingual skills in English and Spanish required.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
