Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize extensive telecommunications knowledge to facilitate the exploration, evaluation, planning, design, development, execution, testing, and assessment of National Airspace System (NAS) equipment and methodologies.
  • Draft and evaluate technical documentation and strategic plans related to NAS.
  • Oversee formal testing processes for various NAS equipment types, ensuring adherence to FAA and industry benchmarks as well as project specifications.
  • Interpret user requirements and spearhead the creation of detailed testing protocols that align with user expectations.
  • Engage actively in all stages of risk management evaluation and system development, offering strategic insights.
  • Guarantee precise alignment of testing frameworks and documentation with FAA standards and client expectations within designated timelines and budgets.
  • Authenticate testing outcomes and recommendations, supporting them with comprehensive analysis and documented results.
  • Collaborate with FAA divisions to support their overarching objectives.
  • Participate in meetings with multidisciplinary teams to assess progress, review testing outcomes, and formulate future testing strategies to achieve critical program milestones.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with FAA NAS is advantageous.
  • Proficient in telecommunications, network components, IP, VOIP, analog services, and LTE.
  • Experience in enterprise-level telecommunications service delivery, contract management, requirements formulation, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Background in the development and oversight of telecommunications and network monitoring systems.
  • Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent credentials are desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, project management, written and verbal communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proven ability to initiate actions, collaborate with team members, and drive tasks to completion.
  • 11-15 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Remote with occasional in-office requirements.
  • Work Hours: Flexible hybrid schedule.
  • Travel: Minimal travel may be required.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Extended periods of computer use.
    • Mobility to navigate the office and access necessary equipment.
