Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at WeatherStream. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing precision mechanical systems for aerospace and defense applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop precision mechanical systems, including electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical flight hardware systems, components, and ground support equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions that meet customer requirements and company goals.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers to ensure successful project execution and knowledge transfer.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our designs are innovative and competitive.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 10 years' related experience or training.
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5 years' related experience or training.
  • Experience with CAD design using SolidWorks, design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA), and tolerance stack analysis.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
