Position Overview

The Physical Therapist plays a crucial role in the rehabilitation process for patients experiencing physical and functional challenges. This professional is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and implementing tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing patient mobility and overall health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patient needs and establish appropriate therapy goals.
  • Develop and execute individualized rehabilitation programs based on best practices and clinical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure cohesive patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired results.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols and strategies for continued improvement.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited physical therapy program recognized by a national accrediting body.
  • Licensure: A valid physical therapy license in the state of Maine is mandatory.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, plan effectively, and adapt to dynamic patient needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective collaboration with patients and healthcare colleagues.
