Job Summary

Job Title: Programmer Analyst for EOF and Cultural Engagement

Job Summary:

To develop, manage, and maintain the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Program, College Promise Programs, and other learning support/opportunity programming database systems, reporting, assessment, and data. This includes processing student rosters for the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE)/EOF NJFAMS (New Jersey Financial Aid Management System), preparing the OSHE/EOF state annual report, and tracking internal student academic performance, persistence, retention, tutoring usage, and other various learning support and opportunity service reports as needed by the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain database systems for EOF and College Promise Programs
  • Process student rosters for OSHE/EOF NJFAMS
  • Prepare OSHE/EOF state annual report
  • Track internal student academic performance, persistence, retention, tutoring usage, and other learning support and opportunity service reports
  • Provide technical support for systems such as Microsoft Office, Ellucian/Colleague, SQL Server, Tableau reporting, Business Objects Environment (BOE) reporting, and others

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, data science/management or related field required
  • Experience: Minimum of up to two years' experience with relational databases and Visual Basic, as well as a broad knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Skills: Proficiency in exporting and organizing data between applications, effective oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in computer information systems, data science/management or related field
  • Experience working with data acquisition, reporting, and report development
  • Experience working with underserved student groups

Work Hours: 35 hours/week
