About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at EMCOR Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop engineering scopes of work and recommend equipment selections
  • Design mechanical systems, including central chiller plants, package units, and air handling units
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution
  • Prepare preliminary design layouts for estimating and ensure quality of work produced by third-party consultants
  • Participate in conceptual design for specific projects and perform site inspections to verify equipment selection
  • Perform calculations for heating and cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, and pipe and duct sizing
  • Work with project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations and help develop proposal documents
Requirements
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering required
  • Professional Engineering license required
  • 10+ years' experience in HVAC design and construction
  • Extensive design experience with chilled water central plants
  • Knowledge of OSHPD/HCAI codes and energy efficiency standards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and make autonomous decisions
