Environmental Restoration Technician

Cross Environmental Services Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Remediation Worker to join our team. As a Remediation Worker, you will be responsible for performing remediation and decontamination activities in a safe and efficient manner.

• Remediation and Decontamination: Assemble scaffolding and seal off work areas, using plastic sheeting and duct tape. Position mobile decontamination units or portable showers at entrance of work areas. Position portable air evacuation and filtration systems inside work areas.
• Asbestos and Hazardous Materials Removal: Cut and scrape asbestos, mold, or paint from surfaces, using knives and scrapers. Shovel asbestos, mold, or paint into plastic disposal bags and seal bags, using duct tape.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Clean work areas of loose asbestos, mold, or paint, using vacuums, brooms, and dustpans. Clean and maintain tools, sampling equipment, and lab equipment. Keep sites and grounds clean and neat.
• Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Perform daily equipment checks. Operate equipment safely and report any unsafe work conditions or practices to supervisors.
• Supply Management: Pick up necessary supplies and tools from warehouses as directed. Load and unload scrap materials into trucks and roll-off boxes.

• Experience: Successful work experience in asbestos, remediation, and general construction. Remediation training and/or certification preferred.
• Schedule and Travel: Must be willing and able to work a variable schedule, including overtime, night, and weekend hours. Willing to travel.
• Security Clearance: Must be able to clear background check processes required to gain access to job sites, including military bases, schools, and other public/government facilities.
