We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Position patients for optimal exposure and visualization during surgery.
- Implement physicians' orders to provide visualization of the operative site.
- Utilize appropriate techniques to achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis.
- Assist with body plane closure, application of wound dressings, and securing of drainage systems.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing.
- Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire date.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
- Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room or First Assistant credentialed from the Competency & Credentialing Institute or National Assistant at Surgery Certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
