POSITION SUMMARY AND REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State's Conferences and Institutes is looking for knowledgeable individuals to contribute to content creation and teaching in the Summer Intensive Language Institute. This program includes courses in various languages such as Arabic, Chinese, English as a Second Language, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish, with occasional needs for other languages like Yoruba and Swahili.
Instructors will be responsible for defining learning objectives, preparing educational materials and activities, and delivering specific subject matter. Prior teaching experience and the ability to engage students effectively are preferred.
Completion of mandatory Penn State compliance training through the Penn State Learning Resource Network (LRN) is essential, along with obtaining the following three publicly available clearances:
• PA State Police Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
• FBI Criminal Background Check
