Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our long-term care team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and participating in patient teaching and research activities.
Responsibilities:
- Collects data from patients, families, or significant others and records on Initial Data Base forms
- Provides 24-hour nursing assessment and contributes to the formulation and updating of plan of care
- Gives direct nursing care to assigned patients, including medications, treatments, dressing changes, and resident care
- Recognizes changes in patient condition and responds appropriately, notifying charge nurses as needed
- Documents pertinent information regarding patient responses and nursing interventions in patient medical records
- Administers medication according to hospital policies and monitors age-specific data, including meds, lab/diagnostic results, etc.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or equivalent education
- Current NJ license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
- IV Certification required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a licensed practical nurse in a long-term care setting
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
