Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management or IT consultancy; experience in a comparable sector is acceptable.
Proven track record in managing extensive implementation initiatives involving various vendors.
Experience in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
Capability to gain cooperation from senior leadership across multiple organizations.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines.
Experience in planning and executing the migration and retirement of legacy systems (mainframe, IBM/AIX, Oracle, ERP, etc.) to contemporary platforms.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) management.
Recent experience overseeing Salesforce projects.
Proficient in project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Experience with Microsoft collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, O3NA) is preferred.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow.
Prior experience in state or government projects is advantageous.
Project Management certification is a plus.
Preference for candidates who can adhere to a hybrid work model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
Role Overview: The Senior IT Project Manager will collaborate with vendors, project leads, subject matter experts, and both internal and external stakeholders to:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system functionalities.
- Oversee multiple workstreams involving various vendors and state stakeholders.
- Coordinate with project managers across state and vendor teams to ensure timely delivery of project components.
- Maintain an integrated master schedule.
- Track the timely completion of tasks by vendors and state personnel.
- Document application support procedures for users.
- Ensure quality and thoroughness of business processes and workflows.
- Guarantee that vendors produce and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Review vendor deliverables for quality assurance prior to approval.
- Establish and manage a RAID log and a RACI matrix with vendors and the state project management team.
- Create and update weekly status reports.
- Document and communicate any changes in project scope and manage the change control process.
- Notify stakeholders of any delays or obstacles that may impact project timelines.
- Provide regular updates to state project management and vendor management teams regarding vendor performance and deliverables.
- Manage the budget and financial aspects of the program.
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings, ensuring effective communication with vendors.
- Oversee system configuration according to business specifications.
- Ensure thorough testing and validation of the system, including configuration, regression, and performance testing, as well as planning for User Acceptance Testing.
- Work with Change Management and Agency Readiness teams to ensure effective training and implementation of project initiatives.
