Job Title: Process Engineering Technician

Flex Inc is seeking a skilled Process Engineering Technician to join our team in Austin, TX. As a Process Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth.

Job Summary

The Process Engineering Technician will perform technical tests and experiments for process engineering, monitor and audit processing equipment, and provide guidance to line operators and maintenance personnel. You will also process test runs, prepare records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products.

Responsibilities
  • Set up processing equipment and monitor its performance
  • Audit and provide guidance to line operators and maintenance personnel
  • Process test runs and prepare records, charts, and graphs of results
  • Provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel
  • Perform and assist with corrective maintenance and yield improvement activities
  • Follow escalation procedures and work with cross-functional teams
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in a related field, technical training, or equivalent education and training
  • 2+ years of related experience supporting WAVE production equipment
  • Experience in technical writing to support change control and quality/compliance activities
  • Setup, operation, and maintenance of industrial equipment
  • Electro-Mechanical Knowledge, Electrical schematics, Mechanical drawing, and dimensional annotation comprehension
  • Ability to understand and interface with various Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Ability to work with complex industrial mechanical assemblies in an automated environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot network and serial communications in equipment
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (Solar, Aerospace, or Automotive), with compliance to FDA, NHTSA, FTC, ISO, or other regulatory requirements
