Amazon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Applied Scientist to join our Business Intelligence Applications organization in AWS AI/ML. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing advanced modeling techniques to derive insights from vast collections of structured and unstructured data via natural language based interaction.

You will play a technical leadership role and contribute to advancing the state of the art in areas such as information retrieval, RAG, large language models, reasoning and planning, tabular search, personalization, and multimodality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Distilling customer requirements and feedback into fundamental science problems
  • Developing cutting-edge solutions that advance the state of the art
  • Rapidly implementing and prototyping novel solutions
  • Collaborating with software engineering teams to deploy finished solutions into production
