Position Overview:
ROLE SUMMARY:
Accountable for delivering comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all nursing care in accordance with established clinical standards for patients within the medical-surgical services.
Engages collaboratively with various professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient delivery of patient care, aiming for optimal patient outcomes.
Acts as a Resource Nurse when trained and as instructed. Upholds the organization's vision and mission. Integrates knowledge of patients' age, developmental stage, spiritual beliefs, and cultural diversity into the care provided. Contributes to the enhancement of quality nursing care through performance improvement strategies that yield positive patient care results.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Holds a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California. Demonstrates proficiency in both verbal and written communication. Exhibits leadership, interpersonal skills, teamwork, quality improvement, and professionalism.
Current California RN license required.
BCLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA), and NIHS Stroke certifications must be obtained upon hire and maintained.
CPI/AB508 certification required upon hire.
NRP certification preferred.
Proficient in both written and spoken English.
Basic Dysrhythmia certification preferred.
Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting; experience in an Emergency Room setting is preferred.
