Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with breathing disorders, including those requiring non-invasive ventilators and pulmonary diagnostics.
  • Maintain accurate and precise patient records, including documentation of therapeutic procedures and equipment usage.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment, including arterial blood gas analyzers and specimen collection devices.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality control and maintenance of respiratory care equipment.
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or Cardiopulmonary Sciences.
  • Intermediate floor training as defined on Orlando Health's Respiratory Clinical Ladder.
  • Basic computer and mechanical training required.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure by the State of Florida Department of Health.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
  • Advanced Life Support certification as required by unit and site.
