We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive ultrasound procedures to diagnose and treat vascular-related conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations to identify and diagnose vascular-related conditions.
- Adjust scanning techniques to optimize image quality and spectral waveform.
- Analyze sonographic findings to complete comprehensive exams and provide data to physicians for diagnosis.
- Initiate additional scanning techniques or administer contrast agents as indicated by the examination and according to established laboratory policy and procedure.
- Notify appropriate personnel when procedural findings are significant or patient condition is of concern.
- Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Nursing Program.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Vascular Sonographer.
