Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive healthcare services to patients at the Flight Medicine Clinic.
  • Provide ongoing health maintenance and medical care, focusing on preventive medicine and community health.
  • Serve as the primary care manager for a designated panel of patients, overseeing their health and wellness.
  • Conduct patient examinations, develop diagnostic plans, and order necessary tests.
  • Interpret examination findings and test results, implementing appropriate treatment plans.
  • Facilitate consultations and coordinate care with other specialists as needed.
  • Manage patient inquiries and telephonic consultations effectively.
  • Document military-specific medical information accurately for evaluations and profiles.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions, ensuring comprehensive care.
  • Perform essential medical procedures, including airway management and minor surgical interventions.

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification in Aerospace Medicine is preferred or completion of a medical residency with relevant experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a flight surgeon at a military installation.
  • Current unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) as recognized by the American Heart Association.
