The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by preparing and processing medical equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and process medical equipment and supplies for use in patient procedures
  • Ensure the highest level of sterility and cleanliness in all equipment and supplies
  • Operate and maintain various sterilizers and processing equipment
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of equipment and supply usage
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • High School or Equivalent
  • Graduate of a Vocational Training Program in Central Sterile Processing or a Surgical Tech program
  • Certification and Licensing: Hold one of the following certifications: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) IAHCSMM, CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) CBSPD, CST (Certified Surgical Technician) NBSTSA
  • BLS certification is required from the American Heart Association
