Job Summary:

The Counselor - Behavior Support Provider will work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing counseling and skills training to help them lead their best lives. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral support principles and the ability to develop and implement effective behavior support plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide counseling and skills training to individuals with IDD
  • Develop and implement behavior support plans, including functional behavioral analysis and behavioral assessment
  • Work with treatment teams and directors to monitor and revise behavior support plans as needed
  • Provide education and training to staff on behavioral support principles and procedures
  • Conduct direct observations and behavioral assessments to inform behavior support plans
  • Track hours of contact and meet standards requirements for billing purposes
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Clear license to practice in the state of Texas as an LPC, LPC-A, BCBA, or LCSW
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected
