Position Overview:
The role involves delivering respiratory care to patients who require medical attention. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing ventilatory support, administering aerosolized medications, facilitating mucous clearance, performing resuscitation, obtaining arterial blood samples, and mentoring respiratory therapy students. Additionally, the position entails conducting bedside evaluations and assisting medical professionals with inquiries related to respiratory treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic procedures associated with respiratory care, including EKGs and pulmonary function tests.
- Maintain registration or certification with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Hold a valid Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Michigan.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of respiratory care practices and diagnostics.
- Maintain current Basic Life Support certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is preferred.
- For CRTs, obtain RRT certification within six months of employment.
Work Schedule:
This position requires a commitment of 24 hours per week, consisting of two 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including every other weekend and rotating holidays.
