Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Fund Accountant to join our dynamic team in the commercial real estate industry. As a Permanent Fund Accountant, you will play a vital role in our financial department, responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate journal entries, conducting year-end audits, preparing year-end tax reports, and performing cash-on-hand analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and maintenance of accurate journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Conducting year-end audits, reviewing financial statements, and identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Preparation of year-end tax reports, ensuring all financial information is accurately reported and in compliance with tax laws.
  • Performance of cash-on-hand analysis, monitoring cash flow, and providing recommendations for improving financial efficiency.
  • Collaboration with other members of the financial team to develop and implement financial strategies and goals.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, changes in tax laws, and financial regulations, ensuring our company remains in compliance at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the real estate industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, including journal entries, year-end audits, year-end tax reports, and cash-on-hand analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and actionable financial insights.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies in financial data and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information to non-financial team members.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
