Correctional Counselor

Under the direction of the Correctional Counselor II - Supervisor, the Correctional Counselor I prepares Institutional Staff Recommendation Summary (CDC 816) on all cases assigned, making appropriate recommendations for placement in an institution or departmentally approved program, based on the classification score, administrative determinants and relevant case factors.
Responsibilities:- Interviews assigned inmates in the designated housing unit office prior to completing reports required in Reception Processing and document acquired information as appropriate.
- Must submit education transcripts and/or degree to verify education requirements. Failure to submit a copy of your transcripts and/or education verification will result in disqualification in the application process.
- Travel may be required.
- Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment.
