The Mechanical Equipment Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the Equipment Manager with various responsibilities related to the upkeep and servicing of machinery at the club's facilities. This position requires a proactive mindset, adept problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen organizational approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical problems in a range of machinery utilized for golf course upkeep
  • Relay maintenance or repair requirements to the Equipment Manager
  • Keep meticulous records of machinery inventory, acquisitions, conditions, repair expenses, and preventive maintenance schedules
  • Service and fine-tune engines and cutting components on mowing machinery
  • Execute daily setups and calibrations of mowing machinery
  • Ensure that maintenance machinery is adequately fueled, lubricated, and routinely inspected
  • Perform operational assessments and urgent repairs on machinery
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the maintenance area
  • Fulfill assigned responsibilities with diligence
Qualifications:
  • Expertise in utilizing machinery repair tools
  • Understanding of gasoline and diesel engine maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics/manuals for repairs
  • Capacity to lift heavy items (over 50 pounds)
  • Experience working in diverse weather conditions
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Preferred: One-year certificate from a college or technical institution
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and authorization to work in the US
