As a Hospice Music Therapist at Residential Home Health and Hospice, you will play a vital role in delivering music therapy services to patients who require end-of-life care. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while advancing your career in music therapy.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional with a strong background in music therapy and experience working with geriatric patients. A Bachelor of Music Therapy degree and current Board certified (MT-BC) credential are essential requirements for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional music therapy in accordance with company protocols and accepted certification practices
  • Inform and educate patients, staff, and facility partners about music therapy
  • Establish therapy objectives as part of patient assessment
  • Plan, review, and assess therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness and aid in planning subsequent sessions
  • Take an active role in sessions by playing instruments, singing, and listening
  • Encourage patients to participate in sessions and support them by responding musically and improvising with music as a reaction to what the client is communicating
  • Support patient creative development and facilitate positive changes in their behavior and well-being
