Position Overview:

The Addiction Recovery Counselor plays a crucial role in delivering direct therapeutic and case management services to individuals, which includes both individual and group counseling sessions. This role encompasses assessment, the development of personalized treatment plans, counseling, and aftercare support.

The Counselor is expected to align with the vision and mission of ARS Treatment Centers, ensuring that all services provided are in accordance with established standards.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload in compliance with State Regulations.
  • Ensure that all incoming patients receive a psychosocial assessment along with an interpretive summary within the timeframe specified in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual.
  • Collaborate with patients to complete a Preliminary Treatment Plan, adhering to the timelines set forth in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual.
  • Conduct Treatment Plan Reviews and updates for each patient following the completion of the Comprehensive Treatment Plan, as per the guidelines in the ARS Policies and Procedure Manual.
  • Develop an aftercare transition plan for all patients as early as possible, reviewing it prior to discharge.
  • Maintain proficiency with State Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR, HIPAA regulations, and Company policies.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred. Candidates must hold a CSAC certification or be eligible for CSAC supervision.
