We are seeking a skilled Travel Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center.

Job Summary

The Travel Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, as well as other related procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular technology and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, including ASD closures, cardiac implant closure device placement, and stent placement.
  • Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including fluoroscopy and ultrasound machines.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and education, including explaining procedures and results to patients and families.
  • Float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as required.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in cardiovascular technology, with a focus on cath lab procedures.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and ARRT.
  • Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule

Four 9-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with on-call shifts as required.

Unit Specific Information

Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
