Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Catheterization Technologist to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for assisting in the performance of cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the cath lab, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and sterile.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, EKG readings, and other relevant data during procedures.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to ensure accurate and efficient completion of procedures.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and communication, addressing any concerns or questions patients may have.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest procedures and technologies.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or related field.
  • Current certification in BLS, ACLS, and ARRT.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the medical team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and on-call rotations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Cerner or similar electronic medical record systems.
  • Knowledge of electrophysiology and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Ability to float to other units of equivalent or lower acuity.
