The Clinical Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of care within the healthcare facility. This position is designed for experienced professionals who will act as a consultant, educator, and auditor, providing support to the facility's leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted advisor to the facility Administrator and Director of Nursing.
- Conduct thorough reviews of operational systems and maintain accurate records to ensure high standards of resident care.
- Facilitate effective communication across interdisciplinary teams within the facility.
- Engage with leadership upon arrival and departure to discuss findings and develop corrective action plans.
- Assist in the formulation and implementation of Plans of Correction based on observations and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor staff performance during direct care activities, ensuring compliance with established standards.
- Review and analyze regulatory reports and facility policies to promote adherence to compliance standards.
- Participate actively in corporate quality assurance initiatives and recommend necessary policy updates.
- Provide training and resources to nursing staff and leadership to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the overall improvement of resident care and support the facility's census building efforts.
Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Licensing: Current Texas RN licensure and RUG certification are required.
Experience: Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred.
This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and quality of care provided to residents, ensuring that all practices align with regulatory standards and organizational goals.
