Starting Pay: $18 Per Hour
As a Hospital Security Officer, your role will be to protect and secure a prominent healthcare client. Responsibilities include monitoring the healthcare facility, ensuring the safety of staff, patients, and visitors. You will identify and deter suspicious activities, report incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service in a courteous and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain vigilance for signs of crime, disorder, hazards, and unusual activities.
- Conduct patrols on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to identify unsafe conditions, security breaches, and unauthorized individuals.
- Effectively de-escalate situations as necessary.
- Inspect security devices and fire safety equipment regularly.
- Facilitate the screening of members, visitors, and employees for efficient access to the facility.
- Respond to emergencies including fire, medical situations, bomb threats, and severe weather with prompt and calm action.
- May involve escorting patients, providing safety escorts, and assisting in transporting deceased individuals to the morgue.
- Availability to cover special projects, call-offs, vacations, and open shifts.
- Must be flexible to work all shifts and all days of the week.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- 6+ months of security experience or equivalent required.
- For driving positions, a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is necessary.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.
- Prior experience in customer interaction, troubleshooting, or managing stressful situations is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- Background checks and drug screening will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
- Licensing requirements may vary based on state and local laws.
- Must successfully complete training and obtain a Management of Aggressive Behavior certification post-offer.
