Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legacy Modernization Director to lead our technology refresh initiatives, including legacy modernization and platform/hardware lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to retire legacy systems such as the mainframe, AS400, and data centers. They will also be responsible for managing the lifecycle of our platforms and hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to retire legacy systems such as the mainframe, AS400, and data centers.
- Manage the lifecycle of our platforms and hardware.
- Develop and maintain a technology refresh roadmap.
- Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize technology refresh initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a technology refresh budget.
- Manage the technology refresh program, including project management, risk management, and change management.
- Ensure that technology refresh initiatives are aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and partners.
- Ensure that technology refresh initiatives are compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain a technology refresh governance framework in partnership with our 1LOD risk management and 2LOD risk functions.
- Develop and maintain a technology refresh communication plan.
- Develop and maintain a technology refresh training plan in partnership with tech learning and development
- Directs the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems applying advanced critical thinking.
Requirements:
- Applies broad industry knowledge and commercial awareness to drive financial performance.
- Negotiates with senior leaders across the business.
- Prior hands-on or architecture experience in mainframe, AS400, and distributed technologies and related security.
- Large-complex program execution experience with scopes involving multiple global stakeholders and managing $300MM-500MM/yr of investment.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in technology refresh, legacy modernization, and platform/hardware lifecycle management.
- Experience in developing and implementing technology refresh strategies.
- Experience in managing technology refresh programs.
- Experience in project management, risk management, and change management.
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and partners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
