Job Summary
The Center For Discovery is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in a dynamic residential eating disorder treatment program. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all orders from the physician/psychiatrist are carried out and communicate client information and wellbeing to the physician/psychiatrist and treatment team promptly and clearly.
- Implement and follow the Nursing Care Plan, prioritizing client needs and collaborating with the treatment team.
- Dispense medication as prescribed, maintaining accurate records and adhering to facility policies.
- Count narcotics daily, logging and reporting as required.
- Perform primary first aid, determining the need for physician notification and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct vital signs, weekly blood draws (where applicable), and maintain NG tubes as needed.
- Complete waived tests for glucose monitoring, UA, drug screen, and pregnancy, ensuring accurate results and reporting.
- Ensure all medications needed by clients are ordered and available in the facility, managing client medical needs and scheduling appointments as necessary.
- Complete referrals and prior authorizations for medical treatments and tests, collaborating with the treatment team to ensure seamless care.
Work Environment
This is a part-time position working Saturday and Sunday, 7am-3:30pm. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional care in a residential setting.
