Choral Music Coordinator

Position Title: Music Director
Location: Langley, VA
Travel Requirements: None
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with fellow choir directors, musicians, and chaplains to curate and maintain a comprehensive music library.
- Organize and conduct rehearsals for both instrumentalists and vocalists for each service.
- Facilitate congregational and choral singing while providing instrumental support for all Gospel services and special events as directed by the Wing Chaplain.
- Oversee the security, proper usage, and cleanliness of all facilities and equipment associated with the Gospel choir's activities.
- Maintain effective communication with choir members, instrumentalists, and the lead chaplain of the Gospel service.
- Exemplify integrity through a moral and upright lifestyle that aligns with Christian church teachings.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading music and capable of leading a choir and congregation, while providing accompaniment on piano or organ/keyboard.
- Ability to perform and lead music from a variety of Christian traditions, including traditional hymns, contemporary pieces, and praise and worship songs.
Experience and Education:
- A minimum of two years' experience in directing church choirs, focusing on traditional hymns, Gospel music, and contemporary Christian genres.
