About this Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at Wells Fargo. As a key member of our Digital Infrastructure Strategy Program (DISP), you will play a critical role in improving our datacenter exits and cloud migration velocity with a customer-first mindset.

In this position, you will focus on providing solutions to technical migration challenges for applications, enhancing the DevOps model for migrations, and improving operational performance and readiness with a proven track record for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop solution designs for enabling Application Development and vendor groups with the necessary tools and frameworks to migrate to new datacenters and/or cloud.
  • Collaborate on best practices and technical guidance to operate within new datacenters and cloud.
  • Establish cloud adoption frameworks for consistent change/release management.
  • Deliver robust end-to-end solution designs.
  • Provide operational transparency through metrics and communications on the overall progress.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Hosting Admin or Lead Developer role.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Understanding of common security practices such as OIDC/LDAP/AD.
  • Experience with major product refreshes and agile development methodology.
  • Experience working in multi-developer environments using version control (i.e., Git).
  • Exposure to REST API/Microservice.
  • The ability to script/code using Python.
  • Experience with hosting administration roles and Kanban.
  • Experience with technical solutioning and system architecture design.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with other technical teams to align priorities and achieve deliverable outcomes.
