Senior Heavy Duty Fleet Service and Repair Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Heavy Duty Fleet Service and Repair Technician to join our team at NGN Holdings. As a Lead Diagnostic and Training Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical problems, training and mentoring junior technicians, and coordinating production flow with our Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical problems on heavy-duty trucks, including suspension, brake, electrical, hydraulic, engine, and transmission systems.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Coordinate production flow with the Service Manager to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Comply with federal and state regulations by testing engines and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Maintain accurate vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
- Participate in all required safety training and meetings, and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- 3+ years of experience as a heavy-duty truck equipment/diesel mechanic.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training and/or technical certificate or equivalent.
- Experience in all mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles, including engine and hydraulic systems, air conditioning repairs, drivability diagnosis, and electrical and metal fabrication.
- A valid driver's license (Class A license preferred but not required).
- Ability to provide own tools and safely and effectively use them.
- Basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively with management, drivers, yard, and dispatch personnel.
- Dependability and ability to report to work on time.
- High level of safety consciousness and clear understanding of equipment safety.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
This role will be based in a shop environment, working with heavy equipment, chemicals, solvents, dust, and fumes. You will also be exposed to occasional extreme weather conditions and loud noises.
You will be required to push/pull up to 75 pounds' force, and may need to sit, climb ladders, reach overhead, balance, kneel, and crawl. You will also need to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, and grasp firmly.
