Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility (EMI/EMC) engineer to provide technical expertise to our DoD customers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in EMI/EMC engineering and experience working with combat vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review technical documents and provide feedback to customers on EMI/EMC matters
  • Identify EMI/EMC risks and issues and provide recommended resolutions
  • Develop and/or provide input to plans of execution, including scope, budget, resource needs, material needs, and schedule
  • Perform requirements analysis and provide input to the design, implementation, test, and installation of electrical and electromechanical subsystems
  • Perform project management duties and create related documents
  • Develop and review engineering and contractual Scopes of Work (SOWs) for prime contractors
  • Interface daily with customers and other DoD organizations to solve problems
  • Participate in and oversee EMI/EMC testing
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 15 years of experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Experience with antenna cosite analysis and radio frequency (RF) desensitization
  • Expertise in electromagnetic Interference (EMI), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), Electrical Environmental Effects (E3), and spectrum supportability
  • Familiar with MIL-STD 461 and MIL-STD 464
  • Electrical, computer, and/or systems engineering experience
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Desired Skills
  • Working knowledge of system engineering on DoD ground combat vehicles
  • Experience working with TACOM, GVSC, PEO Ground Combat Systems, PEO C3T, and PM offices within the Army Materiel Command
  • Understanding of the Army acquisition process
  • Experience with in-vehicle data networks
