Job Summary: Optometric Assistant Professional

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is seeking an experienced Optometric Assistant Professional to provide comprehensive ophthalmic care, assist physicians in gathering patient data, and maintain a clinical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct visual acuity testing, visual field testing, lensometry, auto refractometry, refractometry, pupil assessment, extraocular motility, gross external examination, applanation tonometry, tonopen, eye drop instillation, diagnostic testing.
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records and optimize clinic workflow.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT), Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC), Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA), or Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT-C) required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a COA, COT, COMT, OSC, CRA or OCT-C.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range:$58,000 - $75,000 per year
