Position Overview

Job Responsibilities

As a Nurse Aide at South Mountain Restoration Center, your primary responsibility will be to provide essential care to residents by addressing their personal hygiene, physical, and emotional needs. You will ensure a healthy, clean, and safe environment while adhering to basic licensing requirements. In this capacity, you will make informed decisions regarding resident care based on your training and in collaboration with Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, Nurse Supervisors, Nurse Managers, and the Director of Nursing.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment (40-hour work week)
  • Work hours include 1st shift (6:45 AM to 3:15 PM), 2nd shift (2:45 PM to 11:15 PM), or 3rd shift (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM). Work schedule consists of rotating on and off duty days, including weekends and holidays.
  • Overtime and travel may be required
  • FREE PARKING

  • Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in some cases.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry; or
  • Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents.
Special Requirement:
  • This position is assigned to a long-term or specialized care facility and requires active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry.
Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    1. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
