Job Summary

The Industrial Athletic Trainer will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and supervising all components of a worksite injury management and health improvement program for employees. This position requires a unique blend of skills, including injury prevention and evaluation, ergonomic risk assessments, and corrective action planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Wellness Assessments: Perform thorough wellness assessments to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Ergonomic Risk Assessments: Conduct ergonomic risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop corrective action plans to prevent injuries.
  • Health Education and Promotion: Develop and implement health education and promotion programs to encourage employees to adopt healthy behaviors and prevent injuries.
  • First Aid and Emergency Response: Provide first aid and emergency response services to employees, including the use of ice, heat, and other treatments to manage musculoskeletal complaints.
  • Orthopedic Injury Assessments: Conduct orthopedic injury assessments to identify the root cause of injuries and develop treatment plans to prevent future injuries.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercise, modalities, and work conditioning to help employees recover from injuries.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data to identify trends and patterns in workplace injuries and develop reports to inform decision-making.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate regularly with safety personnel and other stakeholders to ensure that injury prevention and health improvement initiatives are aligned with company goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as athletic training or exercise science.
  • Certifications: Board of Certification (BOC) certified and state-licensed athletic trainer.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in athletic training or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with employees and stakeholders, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
